Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

The SPCA of Solano County is a small but passionate animal shelter located on Peabody rd in Vacaville, CA. The animals available for adoption at our shelter are provided with the best care possible. The shelter guests come from a variety of different situations and we try to make each and every one as comfortable as possible while waiting for their forever home.
