Kellen Rescue (Oakhurst)
Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Kellen Rescue is a no-kill rescue, rehabilitation, & placement organization located in and around Oakhurst.
Our mission is to partner loving lifetime homes with the dogs & cats in our foster care network. Our goal is to educate the community about the importance of spay and neutering, immunizations, training, care, feeding and proper containment and sheltering of companion animals without abuse. Our dogs and cats are in foster homes and are available to be seen by appointment. We request references, typically require fenced yards and usually do not adopt out of the state of California. Many of our animals come from animal control facilities where they were out of time and facing euthanasia.
