Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in California

We're an all-volunteer, 501c3 non-profit organization based in Mission Viejo. Our five Board Members and 35 Volunteers are dedicated to saving abandoned dogs and cats in overcrowded shelters throughout California. Many of the animals we rescue have a slim chance of getting out of the shelter alive due to sickness, injury or lack of kennel space.
Each animal we rescue is examined by a licensed veterinarian, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, bathed/groomed, flea treated and AVID microchipped. Our rescues are either fostered by families or boarded with veterinarians until they can be adopted into permanent, loving homes. All new homes are screened and home checked, and we're committed to the welfare of our rescued animals for the rest of their lives. We evaluate every animal's temperament and work with professional trainers to correct any behavioral issues. If for any reason an adoption doesn't work out, we require that the animal be returned to us.
