Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

  • We have an 8 year old pit bull/lab mix. We are currently living with my brother who owns a pit bull, as well. Recently, they have not been getting along. They have been in two confrontations with each other in the past two months. The most recent one was on August 31st and it was pretty bad. We are terrified that WHEN the next time comes that they get into it with each other, one of them is not going to make it out alive. My dog is not a fighter. My dog was on the ground both times and it took everything to pull my brother's dog off of him. Since we live with my brother and foresee what could happen if they stay together, finding a home for our dog is urgent. At this point, my goal is to find him a nice home. I do not want to come home to find him dead! As of right now, we are switching them out of areas (inside, outside, cage, bedrooms, etc.). We have a 4 year old little boy, too, and my worst nightmare is what would happen should he be right near them if they start fighting. As a parent, I need to do what is safe for my son; that is priority #1. I am begging for someone to help us find him a place our dog can call home. Please contact me 714- 305- 7167. Thank you.
