Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adopt-a-Pet is a no kill animal shelter located on Edwards Airforce base. This shelter is a non profit organization ran solely by volunteers. We are here to take in dogs and cats from service members who are not able to care for them anymore. We do adopt out to non service members and we will take in animals from non service members (keep in mind service members are first priority).

  • I found a small male, Chih mix, still a puppy; I've had him for some time with no luck finding owners. I cannot keep him because I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. Desperately looking for a non kill shelter for this dog. Thank you. (714)791-3805...anyone interested in adopting please call.

  • I found a large red pit bull in sacto.ca. The pound said he is mind I live on a fixed income and have 2 dogs.This guy gets along with kids,dogs,chickhens,and cats.He is looking for home with lots of love and there he gets to lives in the house.9163916991

  • I found a beautiful mix german shepar. lovely dog unfortunately i can't keep him I couldn't fin his owner he is brown and white very playful no aggressive at all if some body have some information for a no kill shelter let me know
