Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Fresno Humane Animal Services was founded by a group of like-minded individuals with decades of experience in animal welfare. Our organization includes top-notch veterinarians, local animal rescue representatives, and seasoned animal control professionals--all working together with a common purpose. Our goal is to improve the quality of life for Fresno County's animals by providing a full range of progressive animal control services. We believe in a forward-thinking approach to animal control with a focus on education, animal reunification, adoption, as well as community safety. We work hard every day to protect the public, to educate and assist our community's pet owners, and to save as many lives as possible.   • My kitten Taz has been missing since Sat Oct 3rd he is 6mo 7lb wearing a fabric blue collar Last near Brawley and jensen fresno county. Taz is mostly grey with black stripes his nose mouth neck chest and belly are white so are his front toes and back feet. He has some orange/ tan coloring around the ears and stripes on cheeks. He also has a very light orange/ tan mark under right side of nose and his nose is half black on the right pink on the left.   • We are looking for our midding dog. She is an Australian cattle dog, a Red Heeler.  She is reddish brown with a white patch on her chest. Answers to Robin. She is VERY scared of people and will likely run if you approach her. Please contact me with a time and location and I will come for her. She was last seen on the afternoon of 7/4/21.
