Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Jellicle Cats Rescue Foundation is a small 501(c)3 Nonprofit, no-kill rescue located in Long Beach, CA. The Matron of Jellicle Manor oversees things and keeps the kitties happy and healthy, and gets them ready for their forever homes.
WHAT WE DO
Our efforts focus largely on public outreach and empowerment: educating the public about responsible pet ownership; teaching communities about feral cat colony management; empowering community cat caretakers to do their own Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) by training them and showing them the ropes; helping pet owners with spay/neuter resources or direction and guidance to veterinary care; helping to provide medical care for community cats; and supporting community cat caretakers who need a little extra help, when we are able.
We receive daily pleas for help with rescuing kittens, rehoming cats, rehabilitating community cats, taking cats from the local shelters, or helping with TNR.
Most of our animals come from the street or from the public, though we also work with local animal control agencies, shelters, and other rescues.
In addition, we also manage our own community cat colonies, both around Jellicle Manor and in other areas. We are a foster-based and volunteer operated rescue, relying on foster homes, volunteer efforts, and donations to keep us in motion. We cant do it alone; we are part of a team, and you are so important to the cause!
