Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

* To provide lifetime care for pets whose guardians are no longer capable of doing so, due to old age, illness or death, thereby preventing cruelty, pain and suffering to both pets and guardians.

* To rescue, shelter and find permanent, loving homes for abused and abandoned animals.

* To actively promote spay and neutering to reduce pet overpopulation.

  • Please HELP!! TWO lost dogs in Pearblossom on 1/17. Rusty is a small, male, dark-brown, short-hairded Chihuahua mix. His nose is dark pink and irritated. He has Lupus and needs medicine. He is a sweet but shy dog. He may be with another small, yellow male, named Moe, that has a long snout and pointy ears. He is a Chihuahua and possibly Airdale mix. He is very shy but likes treats. Please call (818) 640-4790 if found. *Small reward
