Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Happier Tails Rescue Inc. is a 501c(3) foster-based, nonprofit, no-kill rescue located in Southern California. We are a rescue organization that saves the unwanted, abused, forgotten, abandoned, red-listed dogs in shelters and in our communities. We rescue all breeds, sizes and ages.
We put animals first! Our rescue runs solely on donations from supporters, and because we are a non-profit, all donations are tax deductible. Rest assured that 100% of donations go directly to help rescue, feed, care for and save the life of a dog in need!
