Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

To provide dogs and cats, in eastern Madera County, the services they need to increase their adoptability and to provide a safe and loving environment until they find their forever home.

EMCSPCA HISTORY
The Eastern Madera County SPCA (EMCSPCA) was established in 1990 and is dedicated to ensuring the humane treatment of all animals in eastern Madera County. We provide a safe and nurturing environment for unwanted, abandoned and mistreated pets until they can be placed into loving homes. Construction is underway on the 8000 square-foot Animal Care and Adoption Center. Expected to open in 2021, the state-of- the-art shelter will provide a unique, healthy environment for dogs and cats awaiting adoption. These accomplishments happen without any federal, state, or county funding. The EMCSPCA is a local, independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and is supported through private contributions. We are not affiliated with Madera County Animal Control, any other SPCA or Humane Society. All donations to the EMCSPCA help animals of eastern Madera County.
