Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Town & Country K9 ResQ is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization whose primary goal is to find permanent, loving homes for adoptable pets currently in shelters, fosters and training programs. We also strive to help pets and their owners stay together through difficult times, whether it is due to relocation, pet or owner-related medical issues or financial strain. Town & Country K9 ResQ has the means to raise tax-deductible donations to help defray the cost of boarding facilities and medical bills, so pet owners don’t see giving up their beloved furry friend as their only option.
Too often, a dog that has lived in a shelter for a long time can begin to break down due to stress. These are good animals that have done nothing wrong, and could lead long, productive lives with the right owner and the right training. Town & Country K9 ResQ can solicit donations to pay for training to make these pets perfectly adoptable. Other times, when shelters reach their capacity, they have no choice but to euthanize some animals to make room for new arrivals. The choice for which animals are put to sleep is a difficult one, to be sure, but often dogs that get put on the PTS list could make excellent pets in the right environment. Town & Country can raise the funds necessary to pull a dog from a shelter, get it into a foster situation, and buy the extra time needed to find him a forever home.
