Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in New York
(report broken link)
Paradise Garden Animal Haven was founded in New Jersey in 2002 and moved to Woodhull, NY, in 2005. Our no-kill animal rescue is nestled in the natural beauty of the Endless Mountains, near the northern border of Pennsylvania.
Modeled after Best Friends Animal Societys sheltering-on-a-shoestring-budget philosophy, our shelter has found homes and improved the lives of thousands of furry friends in our community.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide humane education programs in which spaying and neutering is emphasized, to conduct outreach programs for seniors who would benefit from a companion animal, to promote TNR programs for feral cats, to facilitate low-cost spay and neuter services, and to offer adoption services for cats and dogs.
