Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

To assist at the Shelter by cleaning, performing paperwork, and helping care for sick or injured animals at the shelter.
To provide Pet Therapy at local nursing homes.
To promote the neutering or spaying of every animal adopted.

The Spay-Neuter Program: We have made it our goal to spay and neuter all animals prior to adoption. We also assist with low cost spay/neuter of pets in the community.
Rescue Dogs: We pull dogs from high volume shelters and transport them here to be adopted into the community.
Fundraising and Promotion: We publicize the shelter and adoptable animals through our website, placing ads in the Batavia Daily News, WBTA Radio and through mailings and events.
