Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in New Jersey

Pound Dog Found Dog Rescue, Inc., a New Jersey Nonprofit Organization, is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) group of dedicated men and women formed and incorporated in 2016. After working within the rescue community for the past 15 years and collectively placing hundreds of dogs into adoptive homes, we have organized a small rescue targeting dogs who may be overlooked yet deserving of rescue. As a foster-based organization we have no physical facility and exist solely on the generosity of volunteers and foster families.
Our mission is to provide shelter and eventual permanent homes to dogs subject to cruelty, neglect, abuse and homelessness. When funding allows, we will target special needs dogs and those who require a little more time and care with our foster families. Our volunteers will assist a prospective adopter find the best companion for their lifestyle. We will also provide the community at large with counseling by way of animal welfare programs and other information media focusing on rescue, fostering, and adoption of a shelter dog.
Our rescued dogs are brought up to date on vaccinations, spayed or neutered, temperament tested with dogs, cats and children and then placed in pre-approved forever homes.
