Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in New Jersey
(report broken link)
SNORT is an all-volunteer rescue based in the Northeast. Its purpose is to rescue brachycephalic dogs (mostly French Bulldogs, Boston Terriers, Pugs and English Bulldogs) from shelters and owners who can no longer keep them, and place them into loving homes. We believe all dogs should be given a chance and fair evaluation. Man's best friend sometimes does not communicate in ways which we would like, and we pride ourselves for taking the time to understand their needs. Through education, training and matching dogs to the right homes, we hope to reduce the number of brachycephalic dogs that are euthanized unnecessarily.
