Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

The Jersey Shore Animal Center strives to be a leader in pet adoptions in Ocean, Monmouth and surrounding counties. We also:
* Operate a Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Clinic
* Offer Low-Cost Vaccines and Microchipping (and stand by for more of our Wellness Clinic)
* Advocate for responsible spay/neuter practices & annual vet care
* Help educate the community about pet ownership
* Work to reunite lost pets with their owners
* Provide pet therapy to residents of area nursing homes
* Instruct school children in choosing the right pet for their home
* Support other animals welfare organizations and rescues
* Work to ensure that animal abuse and cruelty are investigated
* Endeavor to make the Jersey Shore Animal Center a place of refuge, safety, love and kindness for animals awaiting adoption.
* We receive no federal, state or county funding and we rely on private donors to support our programs and services.
