Rawhide Rescue, Inc. was formed in July of 2001 to serve the needs of homeless pets by providing loving and expeditious rescue to pets in our local area, provide foster homes, and careful placement.

Rawhide Rescue does not have a brick and mortar shelter, we are a group of non-paid individuals who have organized and opened their hearts and homes to give unwanted pets another chance. Rawhide serves the areas of Central New Jersey and parts of New York hoping to minimize shelter over-crowding and end unnecessary euthanasia.

Any financial support to help us care for our animals is very much appreciated and we also need dog food, crates of all sizes, beds and blankets for the pets in our care. We are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization, our EIN is 22-3822370. We will provide a receipt for qualified donations.

Our goal is to try to help the animals who have fallen through the cracks of the animal welfare system. Whether it is a call from a shelter who is about to euthanize an adoptable animal or a stray found in the parking lot, Rawhide attempts to lower the euthanasia rates and increase adoptions. Fostering animals enables Rawhide Rescue the ability to place adoptable animals in temporary homes in preparation for finding forever homes.
