Jonah's Ark Animal Rescue
Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Jonah’s Ark Animal Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing homeless working class dogs from overcrowded high-kill shelters and owner surrendered abandoned situations. By working with a network of foster caregivers and our local veterinarians and trainers, Jonah’s Ark Animal Rescue will be able to rescue hundreds of animals every year. We will be providing these animals with temporary homes until we can find them their forever homes. We will serve as a resource to our adoption community by providing information on pet ownership of a working dog and give them the proper training and veterinary care and also include resources for spray/neuter if they have not already been done. We believe that the number of working dogs get discarded due to the lack of knowledge associated with them and our mission is to change that and provide loving homes and environments for them so that no companion animal is euthanized for a lack of home.
