Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

The Humane Society of Noble County, Inc. is located in northeast Indiana and serves homeless, abandoned, stray and unwanted pets in Noble County. We are a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization relying on community support, volunteers, and donations to operate.
MISSION: To provide shelter to stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals until a suitable home can be found; to never euthanize an animal for space; and to deliver programs that benefit both people and pets in Noble County.
VISION: To address the issue of pet over-population by providing prevention and education services, spaying and neutering services to all animals adopted from the shelter, and to be an exemplary shelter by executing exceptional business practices and transparency in our relationships.
The Humane Society of Noble County is committed to being a no-kill shelter, only euthanizing animals that are either too sick or too dangerous to be adopted.
