Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Redemption German Shepherd Rescue is a 501(c)3 corporation registered in Indiana and headquartered in Kouts. Founded in 2014, our foster based rescue focuses on senior and adult German Shepherds.
Our mission is to give homeless and discarded German Shepherds a safe and loving environment while they recover with needed love, medical treatments and/or training while being rehabilitated to the point where they can be placed in furever homes.
We will never settle for second best – not in our board members, volunteers, fosters or adopters. Our commitment to the highest quality of care for our dogs will never be ignored. Our love and passion for the German Shepherd Dog compels us to place the dogs well-being first and foremost. We will care for each dog as if it were a member of our family.
We understand that there are a lot of unwanted dogs and we cannot save them all. But we will strive to make a difference in the lives that we do save!
