AWL is run entirely by loving, like-minded professionals that help save the lives and care for our community unwanted pets. Our employees and board of directors strive for zero tolerance of ending the lives of savable pets.
We here at AWL are working very hard to make great improvements. We have worked hard with outside resources such as rescues all over the state and beyond, to rescue pets of all kinds. Our current save rate is above 90% this making us a No-kill shelter.
Our Mission is to champion the fight for animal welfare by promoting spay/neuter services to reduce pet over population , educating and enforcing animal rights, and providing a safe loving environment for all animals in our care until place in their forever home.
