Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

FPAR is a 501(c)(3) organization with a simple mission – saving lives of adoptable dogs and finding their furever home. We are a no-kill animal rescue based in Zephyrhills, Florida. We have fosters and volunteers located around the Tampa Bay Area. Fosters are compassionate individuals who are willing to take in these beautiful dogs without hesitation and provide them love, safety and security on their journey to their furever home.

  • A mixpit has been using my porch as his home for a few days now. Sweet & friendly. I can't take him in, I have a dog & a cat already. This doggy needs a home ASAP. I don't want to call animal control for fear that they may put him down. WHAT CAN I DO ??? DADE CITY AREA

  • Everyday at 5am or 6am i see two small cats sitting in front the sane driveway of a house that no one is living in. I am scared they will either strave or get killed. I dont kbow what i can do for them. I already have a dog who is not okay with cats. Please let me know what i can do or if you can help.
