Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in New Jersey
(report broken link)
CARE is an all volunteer 501c 3 organization formed by concerned animal lovers.
CARE's mission is to relieve the suffering among homeless animals through rescue and adoption, and extension of humane education. CARE's purpose is to rescue homeless and or feral dogs, provide them with sterilization, veterinary care, when needed, and place them in proper homes. CARE also works closely with local animal shelters in assisting these shelters to adopt out dogs.
All of our adoptable animals have been vetted.
Since our main goal is to reduce the number of homeless animals, all dogs (that are old enough) are spayed or neutered before being made available for adoption.
