Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Illinois
(report broken link)
Feline Friends is a foster-based, no kill, cat rescue organization serving Chicago. We do not have a physical site - we are completely foster-based. To meet any of our cats in the Feline Friends program, we arrange meetings between foster homes and potential adopters.
Feline Friends is staffed 100% by volunteers, and is funded entirely by private donations. Feline Friends is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and all donations are tax deductible.
Our Mission
To help alleviate the suffering of homeless pets in Chicago by rescuing, spaying/neutering, and responsibly placing as many animals as possible in permanent homes
To advocate proper treatment and care of companion animals
To enrich peoples lives through successful matching of adopters with adoptable animals
To be a resource and network of support for adopters and the general public
