Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Be Fido's Friend is a 501c3 organization founded in 2011 and is a 100% volunteer run, foster-based, shelter-less rescue. Our intention is to end the Chicagoland canine homeless population through education, spay and neutering, and partnering of resources to improve the quality of life for dogs in need.
We rescue animals from situations that are abusive, endangering and neglectful and inform the public in order to put a stop to animal abuse and irresponsible breeding. We
educate the public on responsible pet ownership which includes the importance of spay/neutering and support, encourage and join forces with other animal welfare organizations.
Our contact address is 5508 W Lawrence Ave, Chicago Il 60630. You can contact us at [email protected]
