Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Alabama
(report broken link)
Vanity Fur Canine Rescue is a small, no-kill rescue located in New Brockton, AL that was started in 2018 by a Mother/Daughter team. We are an all volunteer rescue that is dedicated to helping stray and unwanted dogs with an emphasis on pregnant dogs, puppies under 6 weeks that require bottle feeding, and sick puppies. Our goal is to treat, rehabilitate, and find permanent homes for the dogs in our care. We work around the clock to promote responsible canine ownership by educating the public and potential adopters about the importance of vaccines, heart worm treatment, and spay/neuter.
