Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Southern Souls Animal League is dedicated to the welfare of animals who cannot speak for themselves.
If we are to continue meeting the needs of hungry, sick and homeless animals, we will need your help. We presently provide housing for the animals of Eufaula and Barbour County, Alabama. We accept strays turned in by concerned citizens through animal control, as well as pets surrendered by their owners after first going through our animal control. We are a no-kill!
Our goals are:
Educating the public about their pets.
Reduce pet overpopulation through spay/neuter initiatives.
Provide compassionate care for unwanted animals.
