A Darrah Bull Bully Rescue
Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

We are a small non-profit organization based in Central Pennsylvania. Our President, Renae Metz, lives in Roaring Spring, Pennsylvania. She is a full-time accountant as well as a mother to two beautiful girls. Renae found a Facebook page one night dedicated to finding dogs in high kill shelters a safe haven before they were to be euthanized. The shelters often kill upwards of twenty pit-bull type dogs per day because they are often the least likely to be adopted due to the negative stereo-types attached to the breed. Renae rescued her first dog from the shelter within two weeks and ADBBR took off from there.
We know that we cant save them all, but we try. We dedicate all of our free time to these dogs who deserve so much more than the negative treatment they receive more often than not. We hope to change the minds and hearts of those who have not had the privilege of having a bully best friend. We hope that you will help us every step of the way.
