Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Terry formed a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization in December of 2009 but FURR actually began in 2008 and quickly grew with ever-increasing cat rescue needs. Vet bills, food, litter and supplies are the major costs to run a rescue organization and now FURR can get help from the public while issuing tax-deductible receipts.
Not only has Terry helped the cats, but she has also helped many people in our community, people who have feral or stray cat overpopulation problems and can’t afford to spay or neuter, or get medical help for injured cats they’ve found. In our community there is very little opportunity for low-cost spay/neuter, but Terry has spayed and neutered as many cats as she possibly can, including the cats in several feral colonies that she takes care of.
FURR ranked 2nd in the county by the Agricultural Extension Agency as best run, cleanest & most compliant rescue organization in the county! Kitties have large cage free rooms & lots of places to play, sleep & climb!
Terry has found loving homes for hundreds of cats. All these lucky kitties get full veterinary care including testing for FIV & FeLV and heartworm disease, vaccinations, treatment for parasites and spay or neuter operations. Terry also checks out all potential adopters to make sure both the adopted kitty and the new parents will be happy.
