Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

We rescued a Shepard/heeled type mix male dog about 10 months old. Vet thinks he’ll be about a 50-55 pounds full grown. Sweet disposition, puppy quirks still. We have 3 other dogs and don’t want to surrender him to a kill facility
The whole point is to find animals that need homes. There are 1000s. Not for someone who wants to shop for a certain breed. Go to a kill shelter and save a life.
Found mother cat with 4 kittens. Family moved off and left them. I have too many cats that I have rescued already (12) my home simple can't handle any more. The shelter here in Florence is not a no kill. Please help . Where can I take these cats. They are now litter trained and very sweet.
4 kittens and a mom. Mom is solid black. Long hair. She's tiny but looks bigger due to her fur. Kittens are 2 solid black a 2 white, one has a black spot on his head. Can't keep don't want them to be eaten by the wild animals around here either. Will bring to you if needed. Asap would be great.
