Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Mureille’s Place is a 501c3 no-kill rescue dedicated to rescuing senior dogs of all breeds. Located in Wapwallopen, PA , it is run entirely by volunteers.
Established in 2006, dogs from all over the country have found safety here. They were either adopted or able to live out their days with dignity and respect in a home setting…. not a cage.
Most of our residents were in danger of being euthanized just for being too old. We are honored to be their final caregiver. We give them everything they need and more to make their final days comfortable and peaceful.
