Company Overview We are a Non Profit, No Kill shelter that relies primarily on donations from the public. Our mission is to provide food, vet care, and unconditional love until we find suitable, loving and forever homes for our animals.
All of our pets are current on vaccines, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered when old enough. We provide much needed vet care, which is our biggest expense.

They seem to slowly be working on a feral program. I think they work with the town to do TNR.

They do not have one, but say they are working towards getting one started. The county depends currently on the Animal Control for this.

Rescue Groups ★★★★★ 3 average

I know they have worked with shelters locally, in the South and in Virginia where there are shelters that are high kill and overpopulated.

They currently do not work with rescue groups.
Foster Care ★★★★★ 2.5 average
★★★★★posted by HeatherMelsonBahrami, on 2015-11-14 15:25:56
They are always looking for more fosters. I fostered 2 liters this year and know that they couldn't get through kitten season without people that foster.

They have no foster care program.

I saw them more and more this past summer. They are in all the local papers and even on the sign boat that goes up and down the beach.

I met the new director at their open house and he seems to really be helping to start new programs and work towards more certifications for the employees. I think he will make a difference.

The last director accepted animals from a "rescue" that stole dogs from people's yards. She also concentrated her efforts on bringing animals from southern shelters rather than assisting pet owners and rescues in this community.
