Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Founded in 2015, Dallas Dog began as a small street rescue and has since saved thousands of dogs across Texas. Dedicated to rescuing abandoned, injured, and at-risk pets, we fight against high euthanasia rates and advocate for lasting change. Our lifesaving work depends on foster families who provide care, love, and rehabilitation to dogs in need.
Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and reform. We save abandoned and at-risk dogs, provide medical care and rehabilitation, and work to create lasting change in our community. We promote education, raise awareness, and spark conversations that lead to stronger animal welfare laws and humane treatment. We also advocate for the rehabilitation of retired and neglected canines, ensuring they receive the second chance they deserve.
