Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Adoptable Pets in Texas

Rockport-Fulton Humane Society Adoption Center is dedicated to saving the lives of dogs and cats in Aransas County. For over 29 years all of our resources and efforts have been solely used in Aransas County to help save the lives of dogs and cats and find them loving homes. Because we are a "No Kill" shelter, we depend on the participation of county residents to help us fulfill our mission. As you may know the supply of surrendered, abandoned and stray pets is a never ending, constant flow. Thankfully we have been able to rescue and re-home a significant portion of these animals with your help and support.
We accomplish this with the help of a small professional staff and a number of passionate community volunteers. Funding comes from local donations and grants. Currently we can accommodate 54 Dogs and a similar number of cats.
