Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
In all that we do, we work to improve the quality of life for the cats and dogs in our community. We offer a range of programs and services that strengthen the human-animal bond, provide veterinary care, educate the community on the humane treatment of animals, provide shelter for homeless animals and offer safe keeping services for pet families needing assistance with keeping their pets.
Our goal is to end medically and behaviorally unnecessary euthanasia. This goal is reflected in the type of programs we offer, the collaborations we develop, and our willingness to help animals in need. We have consistently shown that proactive and progressive programs make good economic sense.
