NaNook & NaKoda's Big Paws Rescue (Brownwood)
Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

We often rescue animals needing special medical attention for injuries and/or illnesses. At our no-kill rescue we care for dozens of rescues whose age, medical condition, temperament or other special needs makes them extremely difficult to re-home. Like us, these furry folks need nourishing food, safe shelter, and regular medical care. Your donations help provide spaying/neutering, vaccinations, heartworm prevention, and other misc. veterinary care, training and love. NaNook & NaKoda’s Big Paws Rescue is a non-profit organization receiving no government funds or currently grants (although we are applying for grants). We are funded entirely by generous people like you.
