Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

Well, this question is just a joke where this "rescue" is concerned.

Please see the multiple news stories about the raid that took place on August 1, 2013 where 240 animals were found living in hideous conditions under the care of Animal Guardians of America. Here's one: http://www.dallasnews.com/news/community-news/denton/headlines/20130801-deputies-seize-200-dogs-from-private-denton-county-shelter.ece
As an animal welfare volunteer and advocate, I have personally helped care for these dogs while they await the chance to be evaluated and adopted, and I can tell you that this organization not only needs to have its non-profit status revoked, the person running it should be jailed and never allowed to own an animal again. Unfortunately, none of that will happen, so the best I can do is try to advise others against support her in any way.
