Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

This maybe 4-5 month old kitten showed up at my RV park 2 nights ago. She is very friendly. She is skin and bones but I think she is pregnant. I cannot take her in as my cat and dogs do not do well with other animals. The male stray out here is attempting to attack her and literally scared the poo out of her. I think she would make a wonderful house pet and want her and her potential babies safe. Any help is appreciated.
Looking for a rescue to pull Storm, a Pitbull girl, from Pasedena, TX shelter asap. Would appreciate any help you could possibly give. Please pm Denelle Ergh, John Thomas, Deb Brewer, or Denise Santora on Facebook and leave a message if you think you might be able to give assistance in this matter. She is urgent at this time and needs a rescue. She is unhappy at the shelter and is shutting down. She needs to find a foster asap. Thank you for any help you might be able to give.
Thank you
Denelle Ergh
I so need help with feral cats. I have a mama cat that had kittens and thankfully I was able to give two away before they got to where they wouldn't let me near them. But I still have two kittens, that I didn't know were any left, and they won't let me near them. Now I think the mama cat is now in heat and I don't won't anymore problems (not that babies are a problem) I do take care of them, much to my husbands disgrace, but after losing three pets in two years I don't want anymore pets. Please tell me you can help me, before my husband takes care of them and I don't mean feeding. The kittens, I think, are 3 months old. They eat cat food now. It breaks my heart that I can't keep them. If you can help me, the stress of all this is not good for BP, I would appreciate it so much. Also I know these feral cats that have come and gone are coming from a feed store down the street they get kittens in and when they grow up they wander. Thank you for your time.
