Pet Haven Inc. of Minnesota

What We Do

We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.

Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.

Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.

Please also note the following:

We spay/neuter prior to adoption. We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact. We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treatment We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home. We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or make them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
