Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Rescue K -911 is a non-profit, no kill, and all volunteer run animal rescue service in the Midwest. We do not currently have a rescue facility, so we rely on the kindness and generosity of animal lovers like you, who donate funds/items, and who open their hearts and homes to help us take care of our furry-friends that desperately need a family to call their own.
Our mission is to rescue pets that have been left with no other option. Rescue K-911 is their last chance at life. We provide an opportunity for pets that are out of other resources to find new homes. We rescue our animals from gas chamber shelters, kill-shelters, and hoarding situations. We also take in animals when their current family is no longer able to care for them. We believe that every pet deserves a loving family.
