First Watch Rescue
Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

First Watch Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that is foster-based (meaning, cage-free) consisting of a small board of directors operating out of Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Our Mission is to perform Trap-Neuter-Release for the community and feral feline overpopulation, rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in crisis and inspire a community through education and demonstration of the animal-human bond. We always have an agent available to assist with someone who has stray cats free-roaming their area and doesn’t know where to begin, and we make sure that adoptable animals are taken off the street, fixed, offered internal and external parasite preventatives and vaccinated before finding them loving homes.
