Big Sky Ranch is a non profit animal welfare organization and rescue in Folsom, LA who works with out agenda to raise the consciousness of the wellbeing of animals.
Their mission is “Changing the ways people think and feel about living with and caring for animals.” Their vision is “no more shelters” While shelters are necessary in playing a temporary, interim role in rejoining animals, as they exist now is a reactive approach to a problem. CATNIP (Care, Advocacy and Treatment if Neglected and Indigent Pets) Foundation at Big Sky Ranch, seeks to find and implement the programs and solutions to keep animals off the street, in homes, out of shelters, and ultimately from being needlessly killed.
