The Humane Society Animal League for Life (HSALL) is a nonprofit, 501c3, no-kill, all volunteer network located in and serving Madison County, Kentucky. We believe no adoptable animal should be euthanized simply because it doesn't have a home. We have an adoption facility, but no full time shelter. We rely primarily on volunteer foster homes to make our adoption program the success that it is. All animals are fully vetted, including spaying and neutering, before being adopted. Due to space and financial constraints, we are limited on how many animals we can take in at any given time, until homes are found. The best approach to tackling over population is the promotion of spaying and neutering, therefore, this is, and will remain, our primary focus.

I have called numerous times and left messages. Nobody ever calls me back. Ever. Right now i have 4 kittens that need homes desperately. I cannot keep because I will get evicted if caught. I found the mom living near a dumpster, then discovered the babies. They didnt even have eyes open yet. To be The Humane Society, you guys dont seem like you give a hoot about animals in need.

Leaving animals and loving humans to fend for themselves is abhorrent. But thats been my experience with Richmond location.
