Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

Someone dropped off kittens in my trailer park. I can't take them in with my cats so I started feeding and set up a shelter for 2 of them. They have become very friendly and stay by my place. Now neighbors are threatening to trap/kill. They are blaming them for the actions of feral cats that have been around for some time. I just moved here and am facing eviction for helping them. These are wonderful, beautiful, young, cats deserving of a good home.

Please let me know who the neighbors are that are so cruel as to such a threat to take the life of a living being let alone those kittens/cats that are in need. 810.240.0653 - you will remain anonymous.
I would like a short haired black kitten to come to a good home. Please contact me at 810.240.0653 as my wife and daughter are very interested in getting a kitten. I am a cat whisperer and can assure you. Please let me know so we can discuss it more.
Although we cannot help all of them, God willing, I am trying my best!!! If I were to hit the lotto, we would have a cat sanctuary, I swear to the Almighty...
