Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Mitzi's Mission is a 501(c) 3 organization founded to support the work of those committed to rescuing and sheltering animals in need. Through ongoing fundraising efforts, we provide resources to agencies seeking assistance in the care of animals awaiting forever homes. In doing so, we hope to contribute to a shared vision within our community, that of sustained compassion. Our Goal

We are an organization comprised entirely of volunteers working toward a society in which no animal is homeless, hungry, or without human kindness. Mitzi's Mission exists to make a difference in the lives of animals, one act of caring at a time.
