Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Precious Paws Rescue is an all volunteer 501(c)3 cat and kitten shelter and adoption facility.
We accept surrenders of stray kittens under the age of 4 months, female cats with nursing kittens, and some pregnant cats. We must keep within our space and budget constraints, so that all will get the care and attention that they need to stay healthy.
Our mission is to provide the best care possible for kittens in a shelter setting. We aim to reduce the stray cat population by getting kittens off the streets while they are young enough to adapt to change and accept an indoor cat's pampered life.
We test for FeLV and FIV on intake, treat for parasites, spay or neuter at a local veterinarian's office, vaccinate at the appropriate ages, and then place them into loving, forever homes.
