Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…

Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?

Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

What is Grateful Doggies Rescue Retreat?

Grateful Doggies Rescue Retreat is a family of people dedicated to bettering the lives of dogs. We not only have a facility where we house, rehabilitate and love our babies but also a network of loving foster homes, all in place to ready our furry friends for their new families and lives. We also help keep dogs in their homes by offering vetting and food to those in need. Education of the public about important issues such as spay and neuter, vaccinations and preventatives is part of our mission as well . Together we strive to make this a better planet for animals and humans to cohabitate in a peaceful and loving manner . We operate on donations from our faithful supporters.
