Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!
No-kill shelters do wonderful work, but as a result, are often inundated with pet surrenders. In the unfortunate scenario that you have to find a new home for your pet, please read through the rehoming solution and articles on this page before contacting the shelter.

Would never recommend this shelter to anyone. All they care about is money. They don't take care of their cats they have or even have the knowledge to clean appropriately. If you're going to donate anything to them - donate cleaning supplies because they clearly don't know how to purchase and use them. The owner is a sick woman who is genuinely cruel, evil and just plain mean to EVERY volunteer, she belittles anyone she comes into contact with and thinks she's above you. News flash, you're not. The volunteers are blinded by caring for animals so much to see what's right in front of them. If you've adopted from them be sure to have a full blood check done on your cats and test them for all viral diseases. They have no quarantine procedures in place, sick cats go with healthy cats. Free roaming sick cats, they self medicate without seeking advice from a vet. Would give zero stars if I could.
