Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Animal Advocates is a nonprofit no-kill organization dedicated to helping control the overpopulation of animals through spaying and neutering; to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home those who have been abandoned, neglected or abused; and to provide proactive programs and educational outreach in our local communities.
The purpose of Animal Advocates is to prevent the suffering of pets and their offspring from ending up on the streets or in shelters.
Animal Advocates began in September of 1995 because of the great need our community had for low-cost spay/neuter services. Animal Advocates is dedicated to ending the pet overpopulation crisis in our communities, working in close partnership with area community animal welfare organizations and Animal Control agencies in order to help as many animals and organizations.
