Foster Paws Rescue
Woof! Meow! One thing before you go…
Do you need to find a loving home for your pet?
Shelters are often inundated with pet surrenders, and do not want to provide a simple outlet that takes away the obligation of responsible pet ownership. Therefore, they would prefer that people try hard to find a solution before resorting to surrendering their pet to a shelter. If you must find a new home for a pet, please try posting to our adoption portal before placing the burden on the shelter. Direct adoptions work well and allow everyone to share in the accountability of their community!

Foster Paws Rescue is a 501c3 charitable organization that operates entirely on donations and grants and is run completely by volunteers. We are a Cat only, foster based rescue based in the Upstate of South Carolina. We primarily serve Greenville and Spartanburg counties, but sometimes reach into Anderson, Laurens, Pickens, and Greenwood counties.
We do not operate a shelter or have a building. We are a foster based rescue, meaning cats in our care our housed in the homes of our volunteers. We are a PetSmart Charities partner, with adoption events most weekends at the Petsmart stores on Wade Hampton Blvd. in Taylors and on Laurens Rd. in Greenville. We operate adoption centers inside each of these stores as well, where a small number of our ready to adopt cats are temporarily housed and available for the public to see.
Foster Paws Rescue was founded in 2010 by two friends with a concern for companion animals in the Upstate of South Carolina and a vision for a No-Kill Community. Diana Riglet and Teresa Bryant paved the road to a successful rescue based on an Open Adoption policy and Donation based adoptions.
